Whoopi Goldberg had a candid conversation with cohost Joy Behar on whether she still wears a bra. At the top of The View episode on Thursday, November 6, Behar entered the Hot Topics segment with a black leather jacket adorned with shoulder pads. After the 83-year-old comedian noticed that Behar was shifting her hand around her chest, she sparked a conversation about whether she prefers to wear a bra or not while live on air.

“I thought you were moving your bra around. I don’t know what’s happening,” Goldberg said to Behar, as she rubbed her hands close to her chest. Fellow cohost Sunny Hostin explained that Behar wasn’t shifting her bra at all.
Looking at Behar’s sleek all-black outfit, panelist Alyssa Farah Griffin (who was absent on yesterday’s show) said, “She is dressed like a dominatrix, though.”
Behar wasn’t amused about the conversation, but the 83-year-old host still shared some details about her clothing choices. “Why do I have to wear a brassiere anymore?” she scoffed. “I don’t want to do it anymore. I just don’t.”
“Well, just let them go!” Goldberg responded.
But Behar thought it would be inappropriate not to wear a bra while hosting The View. “No, you can’t have things hanging around like that. Not on TV anyway.” As the audience laughed, Griffin agreed with the sentiment, saying “There’s also nowhere to put the mic.”
Goldberg then revealed how long she has not been wearing a bra. “Just so you know, I’ve been hanging for years!”
Later on the show, the panelists shared their thoughts on the continued government shutdown and the announced retirement of Nancy Pelosi. They also interviewed Alex Rodriguez and former Top Chef host Padma Lakshmi, who shared several dishes with the hosts.
