Back in 2019, Lindsie Chrisley claimed that step-mom Julie Chrisley assaulted her during an argument. Lindsie referenced the alleged incident again recently, and it’s seemingly stirred some resentment. According to a production insider, the accusations are totally false, and not something Julie’s “remotely capable of.”
Julie Chrisley “shoved me at my neck,” claimed step-daughter Lindsie
Lindsie first made the claims on an episode of Dr. Phil six years ago. She said that an argument between her and Julie had “escalated and she shoved me at my neck.”
Now, a production insider says there’s no truth to the claims. The source told Radar Online: “Julie never assaulted Lindsie or put her hands on her. Anyone who knows Julie knows that’s not even something she’s remotely capable of.”
The insider pointed out that Lindsie has previously said she asked Julie to adopt her. They added: “Why would someone you wanted to adopt you put their hands on you? It doesn’t make sense.”
The comments are seemingly a rebuttal to claims Lindsie once again made in a recent episode of The Southern Tea podcast. Discussing the alleged incident, she emphasized that here had been a “physical altercation.”
However, she also said aside from that alleged assault, “Julie has never done anything to me and has not gone out of her way to emotionally harm me or had reckless behavior.”
She added that there were “significant records” of the alleged event since she had reported it to production company All3Media.
The source insisted it never happened, though. They said: “If Julie did get physical, why was there no police report filed? Why wasn’t Julie disciplined by the network? Why was Lindsie then the one who left the show? These are all valid questions that don’t seem to align with Julie assaulting her.”
