LeBron James talks about Will Smith
During a conversation at Uninterrupted’s The Main Thing Episode 3, Melody Ehsani asked him to reveal his favorite show. James’ response was, “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.” He mentioned that he liked the show because of Will Smith’s character’s personality and fashion sense. “I used to get excited about what Will Smith was wearing on the show. You know, from the baggy jackets to what shoes he was wearing. The matching tie-dye outfits, you know, with the shorts and the T-shirt,” he added.
Sharing additional thoughts on his dressing, he said, “He used to wear the nice trucker hats. And either flip up the brim or turn it backwards.” He found Smith’s character “cool” and liked how everyone around him had to embrace his uniqueness. “I just thought he was cool because he was like an inner-city kid in Beverly Hills, like acting a fool, being himself — and they had to accept him for who he was,” he added.
Created by Andy and Susan Borowitz, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air centers around a street-smart teenager from Philadelphia who accidentally hit a group of young individuals while playing basketball. The aftermath of the incident causes fear in his mother, who makes a tough decision.
She sends the young boy to live with his wealthy aunt and uncle in Bel Air, Los Angeles. The audience gets to witness the ultimate clash between two families from different backgrounds. The show concluded its run with Season 6, which premiered in September 1995.
