Sabrina Carpenter playfully “arrested” Hollywood icon Nicole Kidman at her recent Nashville concert. The “arrest,” which involved Carpenter’s signature pink handcuffs, was filled with mutual admiration and clever callbacks to Kidman’s own career.
Nicole Kidman gets arrested by Sabrina Carpenter
During her Nashville concert, Sabrina Carpenter spotted Nicole Kidman in the audience and wasted no time bringing her into the show’s playful tradition. “We come to this arena for magic, right?” Carpenter said, referencing Kidman’s viral AMC Theatres ad. The crowd erupted in cheers as the camera focused on the Eyes Wide Shut star, who was seen smiling.
“Oh my goodness,” Carpenter exclaimed before joking, “I expected to find love but not my soulmate.” The singer then invited Kidman into her fan-favorite onstage bit, aka “arresting” celebrities with pink fuzzy handcuffs during her Short n’ Sweet Tour.
After asking Kidman her name and where she was from, Carpenter teased, “But you live in Nashville, so if things work out between us, then I guess I’m moving to Nashville.” She continued, “You’re so Babygirl, I don’t know what to do,” nodding to Kidman’s 2024 film Babygirl. Carpenter then asked, “Will you be my ‘Juno’ girl tonight?” before dedicating her hit song, “Juno,” to the actress.
The cheeky moment didn’t just amuse concertgoers, but it also thrilled Kidman’s 17-year-old daughter, Sunday Rose, who shared her excitement on Instagram. The teen reposted a video of her mom’s onstage “arrest” with the caption, “Someone’s in trouble,” tagging Carpenter. She also shared a text exchange with her mom where Kidman wrote, “Hi baby, I’m heading down to be arrested. x,” to which Sunday replied, “thanks mom and @sabrinacarpenter.”

Nicole Kidman joins the group of celebrities who have been “arrested” by Sabrina Carpenter onstage, including Gigi Hadid, Millie Bobby Brown, Anne Hathaway, and Margaret Qualley. The bit has become a signature part of Carpenter’s shows.
