David Beckham Channels King Charles in Wife’s First Tailored Men’s Suit

No tribute could ever come close to Sir David Beckham becoming King Charles to get knighted in Victoria Beckham’s first-ever tailored men’s suit. The legendary soccer player channeled the monarch in the first menswear number from his wife’s brand. It was perhaps the most fitting way to honor her legacy. Sir David Beckham added the perfect finishing touch to his knighthood ceremony by wearing Victoria Beckham Atelier’s very first tailored suit. King Charles wore the iconic attire first. The recent revival not only paid homage to the monarch but also seemed like a beautiful way to honor the 50-year-old’s wife, Victoria.

On Tuesday, the king granted the former soccer star, who wore the first-ever tailored menswear piece from his wife’s label, the title of a knight. His choice of attire was a beautiful gesture dedicated to his partner and the royal family.

For the memorable moment, Sir David donned a bespoke charcoal gray three-piece morning suit made from British wool mohair. Victoria later took to Instagram to reveal that the “timeless sophistication of British royal style” served as the inspiration for the masterpiece. The post also shared an old photo of the king wearing a similar suit back in the day. The caption claimed that it was a day the Backhams would “never forget.”

Moreover, Sir David Beckham getting knighted couldn’t have made his wife any prouder. In the same social media post, Victoria, who was completely wowed and stood tall next to her husband in a custom navy Bela dress, shared loving words for him. She expressed her pride before sharing her gratitude “for this moment,” thanking her team for bringing “the vision to life.”

The former athlete later told The Guardian about his conversation with King Charles during the knighthood ceremony. He revealed that the monarch was impressed by the suit. The former soccer player called the king an “elegantly dressed man.” Moreover, he revealed that Charles was the inspiration behind several of his looks. He also gushed, “It was something that my wife made me.”
