Prince Harry is reportedly uneasy about some of Meghan Markle’s recent social media activity. According to sources, the Duke of Sussex has raised concerns about the optics of posts shared by his wife, particularly as she continues to promote her lifestyle brand, As Ever, online. Since stepping back from royal life, Markle has been active on Instagram, often featuring images of her husband and their children. Insiders claim Harry “doesn’t love” that their faces have become increasingly visible in her posts.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s ‘like-minded approach’ result in social media posts, expert says
Prince Harry is reportedly concerned about some of Meghan Markle’s recent social media activity. According to The Mirror, Markle has “been using images of Harry and the children – with their faces in increasing clarity – on social media,” a move that has raised questions given the duke’s well-documented efforts to maintain his family’s privacy. Harry, who has previously spoken about protecting his children from media intrusion, “doesn’t love” the idea of their photos becoming more public.
However, behavioral expert Judi James believes Markle’s online approach is not in conflict with her husband’s views. Instead, she suggests the couple has developed a shared understanding of how much to reveal. “The balance between sharing glimpses a celeb’s private life and invading their own privacy must hopefully be one that Harry and Meghan have taken on with a seriously like-minded approach,” James said.
She explained that Markle often appears “more comfortable” in front of the camera, citing her polished appearances in “private” moments and media projects. James also noted that their previous ventures, including the “Suits” alum’s podcast and the couple’s Netflix series, achieved “a manageable blend of reality and performative,” which is maintained through self-imposed “rules” such as not filming inside their home.
James added that Harry, while protective of his privacy, has also shown a willingness to “embrace the camera.” His appearances on American talk shows, including “The Late Late Show with James Corden,” demonstrate that he can be “perfectly happy showboating for the camera,” revealing his own “inner performer” despite his reservations about publicity.
