The public harmony between Millie Bobby Brown and David Harbour may have been a little too excessive.
On Thursday, the two shared a lot of laughs at the Stranger Things Season 5 premiere, too much according to some. Body language expert Judy James called their interaction and excessive laughter “overkill.”
Many are led to believe their chumminess is all for show. Reports surfaced earlier this month that Millie filed a harassment and bullying complaint against David.
The complaint was apparently filed shortly before filming of the final season of Stranger Things began in January 2024.

With the upcoming final season of Stranger Things, perhaps the two stars didn’t want to risk any more bad publicity. On the outside, everything looked hunky-dory between them, but on the inside, Millie may be feeling something completely different. “She suggests she is helpless with laughter, with her eyes closed and mouth open,” Judy told the Daily Mail. At the same time, she said there were “no obvious signs of tension.”
Speaking to reporters on the red carpet, Millie said she felt lucky to know David. On the coming-of-age show, he plays her father figure. She said that reuniting with him was “amazing.”
David has been making headlines lately for the wrong reasons. His ex-wife Lily Allen accused him of infidelity. The two officially divorced in October. The Golden Globe-nominated actor was spotted last month spending time with Lily’s daughters at the Universal Epic Universe theme park in Florida.
Both Millie and David were previously nominated for Emmy Awards for their work on Stranger Things.
The first two episodes of the new season will be released on Netflix on November 26. The series finale comes out on New Year’s Eve.
