Families, who’d have them, eh? Dolly Parton’s loved ones are reportedly locked in a bitter feud following her recent health issues. Insiders say the family is furious at the country icon’s sister for causing panic after she canceled several shows and appearances.
Dolly Parton’s family could be involved in an intense feud, claim sources
Dolly postponed her shows in Las Vegas for almost a year and withdrew from several appearances recently. She was revealed to have reportedly been treating an infection caused by kidney stones.
But the singer’s sister, Freida Parton (pictured middle), then sparked concern by asking fans for prayers for Dolly. She backtracked the next day, saying her sister was just “a little under the weather” and she “didn’t mean to scare anyone.”
Her comments apparently didn’t go down well with others in the family. Dolly’s niece Danielle – the daughter of her brother Bobby – seemingly threw shade at her aunt on social media. She told fans that if Dolly “had wanted to share more, give details, ask for prayers, whatever, she would have.”
Now sources say that poor Dolly is caught in the middle of an intense family feud, according to Radar Online. Presumably not what she needs when she’s in ill health and is still grieving the loss of her beloved husband, Carl. The businessman died in March this year. The couple had been together almost 60 years.
A family insider told the publication of the family feud: “The knives are clearly out.” Yikes.
Another source added: “Freida has been a headache for years. But in this case, her timing could not have been worse. The stakes are so high with Dolly’s health on the line. This is the last thing she needs. Freida is going to have a hard time getting back inside the family’s circle of trust.”
