YouTuber IShowSpeed was in for a rude awakening for boasting about his speed in front of the running legend, Usain Bolt himself. Social media was witness to the eight-time Olympic gold medalist putting IShowSpeed in his place with a hilarious and much-needed reality check. Bolt humbled Speed by showing that he is called ‘the fastest man alive’ for a reason, that being his unmatchable speed on the race track.
IShowSpeed meets Usain Bolt, challenges him
In a viral X video, the popular streamer made himself a laughing stock when he bragged about his speed in front of none other than Usain Bolt. The Olympic athlete, however, wasn’t having any of it. He told IShowSpeed that at his level, it is something “you train all your life for.”
Responding to Bolt, Speed replied, “Alright, we gotta see.” Keeping his signature calm and charisma intact, Bolt reminded IShowSpeed that he’s the fastest man alive. The YouTuber isn’t even close when it comes to matching his speed.
You’re acting like I’m 55, bro,” Bolt continued. “You know, Shelly-Ann [Fraser-Pryce] just retired? You probably couldn’t beat Shelly Ann”, he added, throwing some major shade at Speed. For those unaware, Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce is also a Jamaican track and field sprinter. The able sprinter has three Olympic Gold medals to her name.
Vouching for one of the greatest female sprinters of all time, Bolt said, “I’m telling you, bro. Over 40 meters, she’s quick—it’s no joke.” The interaction took a hilarious turn when Speed said, “Where my spikes at?” leaving everyone in splits. “Let me show you my speed, man,” the streamer insisted. “Don’t worry about it,” Bolt replied, to which an undeterred Speed said, “You underestimate my speed.”
In May 2025, Usain offered to help the YouTuber improve his speed. The ecstatic streamer shared an Instagram video note from the retired sprinter, who said he was down to “link up any time” with him. “I’m retired now, so I’m not running. But I can coach you to go faster. You’re already fast, but everybody wants to be faster, right?” the video note featuring Bolt said.
