All of the build-up and acts before him were too much for Elton John to handle this past weekend.
The Tiny Dancer singer reportedly grew very agitated backstage at the 2025 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame ceremony. He was scheduled to perform a tribute to the late Beach Boys singer Brian Wilson.
Sir Elton, it seems, didn’t like to wait around for so long, growing increasingly restless with the ceremony running behind schedule.
Eventually he couldn’t take it anymore and told organizers exactly how he felt.

After all these years, Elton still isn’t afraid to blast people when he’s frustrated. The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer apparently had to wait how longer than he’d hoped before going on stage Saturday.
An insider told Page Six that the singer/songwriter was yelling: “What the hell is wrong with you people? Nobody knows what they’re doing!” The reason for his impatience may come from a concern regarding travel delays. There have been many of those due to government shutdowns. “My plane is waiting,” the insider alleges Elton said.
This supposed incident wouldn’t be the first time Elton had a fit ahead of a televised appearance. Tina Turner claimed that he exploded on her during a rehearsal for a Diva’s Live show in 1999. She said that she was trying to show him how to play the song Proud Mary something Elton didn’t appreciate.
Elton didn’t have his piano with him when it was finally his turn to perform his Brian Wilson tribute. He performed an emotional cover of the song God Only Knows in memory of Brian, who died in June.
Elton described the late Beach Boys singer as his “idol.”
