Prince Harry’s Essay Highlights His ‘Status as an Exile’ — Expert

Prince Harry recently penned an essay ahead of Remembrance Day. While the letter mentioned a great deal about the war and its effects, he did mention his love for his homeland. And going by it, the expert believes the Duke of Sussex’s every word came from his “heart.” The letter also highlighted the “status as an exile,” hinting that he is missing his days in England.

Prince Harry’s essay wording ‘clearly came from the heart,’ per expert

Prince Harry has seemingly hinted that he is missing staying in England in an essay he wrote for Remembrance Day. The Duke of Sussex’s note, titled “The Bond, the Banter, the Bravery: What It Means to Be British,” was released ahead of Remembrance Day, November 11.

In the letter, the 41-year-old remembered his good old days in the Army and his days in Britain. “Though currently, I may live in the United States, Britain is, and always will be, the country I proudly served and fought for,” he mentioned, as quoted by People magazine

He continued further, writing, “The banter of the mess, the clubhouse, the pub, the stands, ridiculous as it sounds, these are the things that make us British. I make no apology for it. I love it.”

And going by his letter, the royal experts feel the duke is missing his homeland. “Harry’s essay on Remembrance Day showed him at his best and also highlighted his status as an exile,” royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams told Fox News Digital.

“Exiles feel deep regret,” he noted. Fitzwilliams even believes that Harry’s “words clearly came from the heart and were all the more moving for that.” The duke’s “respect and affection for Queen Elizabeth II, whom he called ‘my Commander-in-Chief,’ is undoubted.”

Although King Charles’ youngest son has “build a profile which has given [the couple] global reach,” it’s been done “in a deeply destructive way.” That is why, Fitzwilliams feels, Harry “is bound to have very deep regrets.”

Even British broadcaster and photographer Helena Chard told the outlet that despite attending the high-profile events in the U.S, the father of two misses his life in the U.K. “I’m sure he misses parts of his previous life in the U.K. … I don’t believe the celebrity world floats Prince Harry’s boat.”
