IshowSpeed just proved to the world that he actually can walk ( more like run) the talk. The famed YouTuber made history by living up to his name when he broke the NBA 3/4 sprint record with a blazing 2.80-second time. Speed made the new all-time record while training with none other than basketball legend Kevin Durant. The streamer had competed in a drill from the NBA draft combine wherein he not only proved his athletic prowess but also made a new world record.

The internet went wild when IShowSpeed made an all-time record in the fourth episode of his “Speed Goes Pro” series. For the now-viral episode, the Twitch streamer had teamed up with Houston Rockets star Kevin Durant. The video posted on Wednesday showsSpeed acing basketball challenges consisting of combine drills, shooting exercises, a pick-up game, and a 3-point shoot out.

IShowSpeed proved that he’s more than just a viral sensation when he came a close second to the pro-athelete in most of the challenges. However, viewers were left collecting their jaws off the floor when the YouTuber ran a three-quarter sprint in just 2.80 seconds. Speed’s remarkable feat bagged him the honor of the “fastest in the league” after he broke Devin Carter’s record of 2.87 seconds.

In awe of IShowSpeed’s athleticism, Durant praised the 20-year-old, saying, “Speed is just an athlete, man. He can do it all,” Durant said. “Streamers and guys creating content every day, man — It’s a tough, tough job to do. I’ve really got respect for what Speed brings to the culture. And that was fun. I wanna try to get him out to a Rockets game for sure.”

The X video showing Speed demonstrate his sprinting skills blew up in no time, with fans flooding the comments with praises for the popular YouTuber.

“That’s actually insane 2.8 is elite athlete speed. Say what you want, Speed got real explosiveness”, one fan wrote. “Man is a beast! He’s got at everything,” another impressed fan commented.
