King Charles and his son appear to be at odds over a controversial decision.
The brother of disgraced ex-royal Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has approved a return to royal life for the former Prince’s daughter, Beatrice. That move doesn’t appear to be going over well with Charles’ successor and son, Prince William. A source says the royal heir believes this move is “too risky.”
Andrew’s name has been severely tarnished because of his association with the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. The former Prince was evicted from his Royal Lodge home last month.
Princess Beatrice is allegedly at the center of a rumored rift between King Charles and Prince William

He’s not speaking to his brother, Prince Harry, and the future King doesn’t appear to be getting along with his father. William apparently isn’t on board with Beatrice being welcomed back with open arms. RadarOnline reports that the Prince is “strongly opposed” to this move. For him, it’s a little “too soon.”Charles evidently disagrees with that notion. While her father had all of his royal titles removed, Beatrice and her sister Eugenie were able to maintain their titles as Princesses.
Emotions may be factoring into the King’s risky decision, with an insider saying he’s always been “sentimental.” William seems to want the royal family to be as far away as possible from his disgraced uncle and Andrew’s immediate family. From alleged prostitutes frequenting Buckingham Palace, to the reported abuse a then teenager Virginia Giuffre may have suffered, Andrew’s name has been put through the wringer.
The King’s leniency seems to be the complete opposite of what we can expect from William. When he is King, an insider says he’ll have a “zero tolerance blueprint.”
A source says Beatrice’s job is to safeguard the monarchy’s reputation, one which has taken another hit because of her father.
