The sadness of Ozzy Osbourne’s death was felt everywhere, all the way up to the President.
The late rock star’s widow, Sharon Osbourne, says that she and her family received an overwhelming amount of love and support following his death in July. Among the celebrities sending their condolences was Donald Trump. That’s something the former co-host of The Talk was incredibly appreciative of.
The President has long had a polarizing effect on people, but for Sharon, “he was just a great guy to talk to.”
Sharon got to know the President well during her appearance on season 9 of the Celebrity Apprentice, which Donald hosted.
Sharon Osbourne said Donald Trump treated her family with “respect”
The President is not everybody’s cup of tea, but Sharon has but sunshine and rainbows to say about him. On Wednesday’s episode of The Osbournes Podcast, she told two of her kids, Jack and Kelly, that “he (Donald) has treated me with respect, your father with respect. He wanted nothing from us.”
In Sharon’s opinion Donald knows what’s going on in the streets, something she doesn’t believe current UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer is doing.
She may not have much love for him, but Sharon has a deep appreciation for the royal family, particularly King Charles. She says he’s another one who wrote the family a touching letter following Ozzy’s death.
It feels as though Ozzy knew the end was near giving an emotional thank you to fans at Villa Park weeks before his death. In his voicemail to the Osbourne family following Ozzy’s death Donald said: “Hi Sharon, it’s Donald Trump and I just wanted to wish you the best. Ozzy was amazing, he was an amazing guy.”
Sharon, Ozzy, Jack and Kelly starred in their own reality show in the early 2000s. Season one of The Osbournes was one of the most viewed shows on MTV. Sharon and Ozzy’s eldest child, Aimee, is the lead singer of the band ARO.
Ozzy is considered an enormous trailblazer and a rock god. He was 76.
