Things are reaching new levels of insanity over on The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. If you haven’t seen Season 3, here’s your spoiler alert. We’re about to get into the mess between Taylor Frankie Paul, Dakota Mortensen, and one of Taylor’s mom’s friends.

When we last left on SLOMW, Taylor learned that Dakota, with whom she shares a toddler, had cheated on her. They broke up for the umpteenth time, but throughout Season 3, she opened up the door to give him another chance. Big mistake.
As soon as it started to seem like their relationship was on a somewhat positive trajectory, Taylor learned that Dakota had been sexting with one of her mom’s buddies. They didn’t drop the woman’s name, but Taylor referred to her as a “family friend” of many years, making the news even more devastating.
Dakota admitted to texting with the woman, and he claimed she sent him a series of suggestive photos. The whole thing is bizarre because out of all of the men in Utah, why would this woman choose her friend’s daughter’s baby’s father? It’s just messy and wrong, from all angles.
By Episode 9, Taylor decided to confront the family friend about the sexting allegations. The woman denied it, and when she found out that the whole thing was unfolding as a storyline for SLOMW Season 3, she shut down the conversation altogether. Similarly, Taylor said that Dakota refused to talk about it any further on camera.
With all of this in mind, it’s starting to make a whole lot of sense why ABC tapped Taylor to lead the next season of The Bachelorette. With all of this drama she’s endured, dating two dozen guys at once will feel like a piece of cake. She’ll just have to keep her mom’s friend away from them.
