The “All About That Bass” hitmaker recently dropped her new single, “Still Don’t Care,” on November 12 and spoke candidly about the song, her upcoming album, and her take on the negativity surrounding her weight-loss transformation in an interview with Entertainment Tonight.

The interview began with the host Denny Directo calling her recent single “vulnerable” and “fearless,” saying he loves the message of the song, “Don’t care.” Talking further about the track, the host said, “You posted that this is a response to people’s comments about you.” He further asked her how she deals with such negativity around her.

The 31-year-old musician responded that the comments were getting “louder” and “meaner.” She then talked about how she is taking care of herself and her health after having babies. Trainor said, “I’m literally for the first time ever, after having babies, taking care of my health to the highest level, and I’ve never felt better, and I look incredible. I feel great.” She then questioned, “And that’s when people attack me?”

Expressing her disappointment over the whole issue, she said that she knew she had to “find a way to not be affected by that.” After talking briefly about her physical transformation journey, the host asked her how she honors her positivity, especially now that she is a mother. Speaking candidly, Trainor responded that she has got the “cutest” kids who love her.

She further mentioned how having a loving family helps her deal with negativity. The singer expressed that when she sits and cries about something, her husband is the first one to tell her that her “life rocks.” She further added that whenever she would compare herself, he would say, “Oh, they don’t have Barry and Riley,” instantly lifting her spirits.
