Elsie Hewitt has shared the details of the difficulties she is facing during her first pregnancy, describing ongoing pain that has become difficult to manage.
In a series of videos shared on Instagram, the model explained that the discomfort has escalated in recent weeks, leaving her unable to walk at times and forcing her to seek out multiple forms of treatment. She wrote, “I’m in absolute agony pretty much 24/7. This morning, it’s really bad.”
Hewitt noted that she has attempted a wide range of options to manage the symptoms, including acupuncture, stretching, physical therapy, exercise routines, energy-based therapies and steroid injections. “I have tried everything, and it’s only getting worse and I cannot walk,” she wrote. The model added, “I am just straight-up suffering and in so much pain every single day. I actually really don’t know how it could get worse than this.” (via New York Post)
Hewitt also connected her current condition to underlying health issues. She said she believes her endometriosis is linked to Hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, a connective-tissue disorder she has been managing for some time. She explained, “So, I’m turning to Instagram because I would really like to speak to someone who has been through pregnancy and birth with Hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos syndrome.”
The 29-year-old concluded, “Did your pain go away after? Does it get better? Am I gonna die? I just really want to feel a little bit of hope.” Hewitt and Pete Davidson announced they were expecting their first child earlier this year, with the SNL alum describing himself as “very lucky.” (via E!
