With Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor stepping down from his Royal title, new revelations continue to emerge about conversations within the monarchy. According to recent reports, King Charles and Prince William used strategic “pressure” focused on Andrew’s daughters, Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice’s future, to push him out of the residence.
Prince William and King Charles pressured former Prince Andrew’s daughters, insiders claim
Prince William and King Charles reportedly used the former Duke of York’s daughters as “pressure” points to persuade him to leave his residence, Royal Lodge.
Sources tell RadarOnline that, despite Andrew’s reluctance to leave the residence, he was “pressured” into doing so. Insiders claim that his daughters’ protection was the turning point that led him to reconsider his decision.
A source said, “The signal couldn’t have been clearer. Beatrice and Eugenie would be protected – but only if Andrew stood down. Their titles, positions, and future roles were very much part of the discussion.”
Another insider revealed that even though this wasn’t an ultimatum,” it was “basically a bribe” in the “most polite language.” According to the person, if Andrew hadn’t stepped down from the title, King Charles and Prince William “would have been forced to look at broader changes for his daughters.”
Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie have retained their titles and are still eligible for future royal duties. It seems that for Andrew, securing his daughters’ future was reportedly highly important, even if it meant stepping down from his royal title and relocating from his residence.
“For Andrew, safeguarding his daughters was the red line. Once he was assured their position would remain intact, he stepped aside,” added a tipster.
It was earlier reported that the King was close to the former Prince’s daughters and would continue to support them. As per a royal insider, both “His Majesty and Andrew care deeply about Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice. Moreover, they firmly believe that they can make a meaningful contribution in public life.”
