Rapper 6ix9ine’s mother was held hostage against her will after four armed gunmen attacked his Florida home. On Sunday, November 16, four masked gunmen stormed inside the rapper’s home, demanding cash and his car keys. Notably, the four gunmen held the 29-year-old rapper’s mother hostage when he was not home.
Rapper 6ix9ine’s home reportedly invaded by armed robbers
TMZ reports that 6ix9ine was livestreaming with Jack Doherty when four armed gunmen held his mother hostage at his Florida home. Authorities reportedly arrested Doherty on drug-related charges over the same weekend. The Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office revealed to TMZ that their team reached the rapper’s home to investigate the robbery and invasion.
Several residents at the 29-year-old rapper’s home reportedly confirmed that four armed gunmen in masks invaded the house, demanding money and car keys. Police reported that the invaders held Tekashi’s mother captive by the burglars while they ransacked the home.
The officers searched the home with the help of a K-9 unit but were unable to nab the suspects. According to the Sheriff’s Office, the intruders fled before the police could arrive and investigate the scene.
Doherty shared via livestream that Tekashi rushed home the moment he heard of the burglary. “We were livestreaming with [Hernandez], and in the middle of it, apparently he got robbed, so now there’s like a bunch of cops at his house,” (via The Independent).
Tekashi is no stranger to police investigations and is, in fact, notorious for his criminal activities. In July this year, the 29-year-old rapper pleaded guilty to a drug possession charge. He had previously completed his federal prison sentence for racketeering and conspiracy charges. However, he got into trouble with the law for violating his supervised release.
Notably, during his court appearance, 6ix9ine confessed to the Manhattan judge that authorities raided his house in Miami on March 12. The cops investigated his bedroom and unearthed drugs. The rapper pleaded guilty so that the prosecutors would drop two charges against him from the raid.
6ix9ine has not commented on the burglary at his Florida home at the time of writing this article.
