Hollywood heartthrob Austin Butler has finally responded to rumors that he is dating model and actress Emily Ratajkowski. The 34-year-old actor, who shared videos of his intense workout while developing his boxer physique, was asked in a November 18 interview with Vanity Fair on what his relationship is with Ratajkowski, the 34-year-old actress best known for her role in “Gone Girl” and her appearances in music videos and fashion runways. The pair were seen drinking and chatting together at the Waverly Inn in New York City’s West Village in September, stirring rumors that they could be a couple.

Austin Butler says he is not dating Emily Ratajowksi, saying that the pair are merely “friends” and that they were photographed having dinner and nothing more.
“The true answer is that I have a lot of friends,” the actor said to Vanity Fair, “and we’re friends and we had dinner, and that we’re friends.”
This is despite the pair also being seen and photographed together at an afterparty for his movie “Caught Stealing” in New York City.
Butler admitted that the rumors that they were in a relationship didn’t make him want to be a social butterfly, adding “I just wanted to hide.”
Still, he didn’t want the increased scrutiny into his personal life to stop him from doing what he wants in public. He questioned, “I’m going to live a constricted, small life because I’m afraid of what other people are going to say or what they’re going to think?”
There are also rumors that the actor is dating Zoe Kravitz, though the romance is reportedly a publicity stunt for “Caught Stealing.”
Butler had a relationship with Kaia Gerber for three years before they split up in 2024. He had a lengthier relationship with actress Vanessa Hudgens that lasted eight years before they parted ways in 2020.
