Keith Urban Performed LGBTQ+ Anthem Amid Nicole Kidman Split

Keith Urban performed a cover of Chappell Roan’s LGBTQ+ anthem “Pink Pony Club” amid news reports of his impending divorce from Nicole Kidman. Kidman and Urban separated on September 29, and Kidman filed for a divorce on September 30. Since then, Urban has been busy with his concerts and live performances with a minimal presence on social media.

An Instagram user @tali.florida shared a carousel from the exclusive party. The carousel included glimpses of President Trump and snippets of Urban singing and playing his guitar. The caption reads, “President Trump at Anthony Pratt (who just so generously pledged 5 Billion Dollars toward American manufacturing projects) holiday party at the Mar a lago.”

Continuing further, the caption stated, “great food, lots of French fries. Amazing people and great entertainment by Keith Urban.”

Notably, the 58-year-old country singer has been performing this song at many of his live shows and events. In an April appearance on Intimate and Interactive, Urban confessed, “’Pink Pony Club’ is a great song. When I heard that song, I just almost cried.”

Continuing further, he revealed, “Who doesn’t wanna find a safe place, wherever that is? You just wanna find your people — doesn’t matter what that is, just somewhere where you finally realize you belong there. God, that speaks to me.” (via Them)

The country singer recently ended his social media hiatus to promote his upcoming show, The Road, hosted by Blake Shelton. Twelve upcoming country music stars will compete against one another to bag the opportunity to be the opening act for Urban on his US tour. Prior to this recent post, his last post on Instagram was on September 26, three days before the news of the couple’s separation.

Keith Urban has largely stayed off social media but still follows Nicole Kidman and has kept posts about Kidman on his Instagram.
