Donald Trump may have lost an ally in the House of Representatives for good.
Marjorie Taylor Greene, a staunch supporter of the US President previously, had some powerful words for him on Tuesday. The President has taken a lot of heat for how he is handling the Epstein files about the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
Marjorie spoke at an emotional press conference before the House of Representatives held a vote on whether or not to release the Epstein files.
“I’ve never owed him anything, but I fought for him, for the policies and for America First, and he called me a traitor for standing with these women,” she said about the President. Marjorie represents Georgia’s 14th congressional district in the House.
Marjorie Taylor Greene took aim at Donald Trump after he called her a “traitor”
Any kind of support the President once had from Georgia’s 14th district is likely gone. Marjorie gave her rebuttal to Donald, calling her a traitor. “Let me tell you what a traitor is – a traitor is an American that serves foreign countries,” she said.
At the time, she was flanked by many survivors of Jeffrey’s sex trafficking. She claims she fought six years in favor of Donald before being called a traitor. For her, the President’s handling of the Epstein files is one of the most destructive things to the Make America Great Again slogan the President has preached (MAGA).
Fans of The View were shocked last month when hearing that Marjorie, an outspoken Republican, would appear on the show.
The US House of Representatives voted overwhelmingly in favor of the Epstein files release, on Tuesday with the motion passing by a count of 427-1. That’s just one step toward making this into a law.
The bill must now pass a Senate vote before going to the President. Ultimately, Donald will have the final say on whether it passes, and he can veto it if he chooses.
TELL US – DO YOU CONSIDER DONALD OR MARJORIE TRAITORS FOR THEIR CONDUCT REGARDING THE EPSTEIN FILES?
