Singing the U.S. national anthem at the final international game of the 2025 NFL season, Karina Pasian drew criticism for her outfit. However, she reacted to the backlash during an interview with TMZ. When asked how she felt about the comments on her outfit posted online, Pasian replied that she had no expectations and felt great about what she chose to wear.
She continued to clarify that it wasn’t her intention to offend anyone and explained how her stylists helped bring her vision to life. Apologizing to anyone who was offended, the singer stated that she intended to have a good time. “I just wanted to elevate the look I already have to match the occasion and do my best.” With reassurance that she didn’t mean to offend anyone, Pasian said with a nervous laugh, “I loved my outfit.”
Further, when asked by the interviewer whether the NFL had anything to say about her outfit, the 34-year-old confirmed that the NFL had already approved it a few days earlier. She mentioned that she also read a lot of positive comments and tries to focus on and spread more of that energy.
