Paris Jackson claims dad’s estate investors abused their roles, per court filings
New court filings by Michael Jackson’s daughter, Paris Jackson, have reportedly alleged that investors in his estate have abused their positions. As reported by People magazine, on Tuesday, the “Doctor Odyssey” actor filed an objection in the LA court. Through this objection, she allegedly showed her unwillingness to accept the estate’s 2021 calendar year accounting. She and all her siblings reportedly only received it in September, which is nearly four years late.
Per the news outlet, in the court documents, Paris Jackson expressed her concern over the “enormous sums of cash” that co-executors John McClain and John Branca didn’t invest. The model-actor reportedly said she feels that the two executors’ decisions in the business do not align with the best interests of her late father’s estate. She is allegedly the beneficiary of the late global icon’s estate along with her siblings, Prince and Bigi.
In the meantime, as reportedly by the news outlet, the court filings say that Paris Jackson “is increasingly concerned the Estate has become the vehicle for John Branca to enrich and aggrandize himself.” It continued, “Rather than serve the beneficiaries’ best interests and steadfastly preserve her father’s legacy.”
Meanwhile, a source expressed their views on the new court filings by Paris Jackson. The person claimed, “This is another misguided attempt by Paris Jackson’s attorneys to provide themselves cover.” They further explained, “The fact is Paris Jackson’ lawyers lost their latest case against the Estate.” The person added, “And have been ordered to pay the Estate’s attorneys’ expenses.” The insider then said, “All the beneficiaries are well taken care of by the Estate.” “This is a weak attempt to change the narrative of their loss,” added the person.
