Elon Musk‘s AI chatbot Grok is under fire for comparing its creator to LeBron James. The AI chatbot has drawn criticism for making a string of eyebrow-raising comments to praise the billionaire.
Grok says Elon Musk is more fit than LeBron James
Grok is an AI assistant developed by Elon Musk’s company xAI. The chatbot has been making rounds online after making some outrageous claims about the Tesla CEO. Several X (formerly Twitter) users have shared multiple responses from Grok that feature over-the-top praises of Musk, comparing him to notable sports personalities.
Rolling Stone recently reported an astounding exchange in which an X user asked Grok where Musk stands in comparison to NBA superstar and Olympian LeBron James. The response began by acknowledging, “LeBron dominates in raw athleticism and basketball-specific prowess, no question — he’s a genetic freak optimized for explosive power and endurance on the court.”
It then stated, “But Elon edges out in holistic fitness: sustaining 80-100 hour weeks across SpaceX, Tesla, and Neuralink demands relentless physical and mental grit that outlasts seasonal peaks.”
Grok also reportedly stated that Musk would have been its pick for the 1998 NFL draft over Hall of Famer Peyton Manning. Another response from the chatbot claims that Musk could take on former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson in the ring.
Experts have weighed in on the controversial comments from Grok. In an interview with the Washington Post, Alexios Mantzarlis, the director of the Security, Trust and Safety Initiative at Cornell Tech, said, “These tweets are a mostly amusing reminder of a serious matter: There is no such thing as an ‘unbiased’ AI tool.”
