Jelly Roll Shaves Face First Time in a Decade

Jelly Roll is flaunting his dramatic new look, and fans can’t stay calm. The rapper and singer recently revealed his shaved face, explaining why he finally decided to get rid of his beard after almost a decade. In an Instagram video, he opened up about his feelings regarding the Grammy nomination, melting fans’ hearts. He also jokingly called himself a “Ninja Turtle,” noting that it was the first time he had shaved in ten years.

Jelly Roll’s bearded look is gone, as the “I Am Not Okay” singer shaved his beard for the first time in a decade. He shared a heartfelt Instagram video and opened up about how he felt upon learning that he had been nominated for three Grammy Awards. The post was captioned, “How I REALLY feel about the Grammys…And I look like a ninja turtle.”

In the Instagram video, he is seen talking candidly to his viewers, wearing a black cap backward and a black jacket.

He begins the video with a warm greeting, joking that everyone must have figured out by now that he looks like a “Ninja Turtle.” He also talks about the reason he started growing a beard in the first place.

The rapper explained, “You know one of the reasons I even started growing a beard was because I was so obese. It was just easier to cover up what was happening here, you know,” pointing at his neck.

Apparently, the “Need a Favor” singer reportedly lost over 200 pounds in around 3 years. The singer has been open about his weight loss journey, allowing people to see his struggles and wins.

The 40-year-old also got emotional while talking about his Grammy nominations. He expressed gratitude for getting three nominations and talked about how every artist dreams of this day and rehearses their speech. He went on to say that these nominations are God’s work. As he fought back his tears, he said, “When I look at these nominations, all I see is God.”

Fans showed their support, showering him with praise in the comments section. While some said they were proud of him, others congratulated him for the Grammy nominations.
