Suni Lee opens up about her type in men
Suni Lee revealed what qualities she looks for in a man on the HAHA podcast earlier this month. The 22-year-old Olympian revealed she notices male fans making a move on her. She said, “It’s like sometimes I can’t tell if it’s just like a joke or if they’re like being for real. But it’s like, it’s really funny to me. Honestly, I’ve seen so many videos. So if you think I haven’t seen it, I’ve seen it.”
One of the hosts proceeded and asked Lee about her ideal type. The gymnast replied thoughtfully, “I feel like my type is like athletes. I like a very emotionally intelligent man. Cause a lot of the guys I have talked to or come across, they always just end up being so immature.”
She confessed that she has encountered men who are five or six years older than her and have not acted their age. Picking up on this comment, the host asked, “What would be like the biggest age gap you would have?” Lee responded, “Five years,” before adding, “Is that crazy?”
The hosts assured her that they think she is really mature for her age and “older” than them at an emotional level. The same host prodded, “How about personality-wise? Do you like them to be?” Lee interjected before the host could complete by stating, “I like a funny guy or somebody that’s caring.”
The 22-year-old continued, “Not just about me but with the people around me. Like if we go out and you are only worried about me, I will be mad. Because I need you to be able to take care of me and all my friends. Like everyone.”
Suni Lee’s only public relationship has been with football cornerback Jaylin Smith. She dated him while he played college football at the University of Southern California. The 22-year-old publicly thanked a fan for supporting the couple’s interracial romance.
She wrote, “This makes me so happy. I’ve received so much hate. They support me when it’s beneficial for them, never when it comes to my happiness. Thank you!” (via US Weekly).
