The Weeknd Sets New Record As Tour Grosses $1 Billion

The Weeknd just leveled up and is now in the billion‑dollar club. His After Hours Til Dawn Tour has smashed all records, grossing over $1 billion at the box office. This makes The Weekend the top‑earning male solo artist in touring history. The figures reflect sales across 153 shows and more than 7.5 million tickets sold.

The Weeknd took to the road in July 2022 and has since covered North America, Europe, Latin America, Australia, and more. The tour raked in a jaw‑dropping $1.004 billion, with around 7.55 million fans grabbing tickets across 153 shows.

That payday puts the 35-year-old in the same league as Coldplay’s Music of the Spheres and Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour, making him one of the biggest box‑office draws in live music history. And for a male solo act, he has just set the new gold standard.

The After Hours Til Dawn tour is The Weeknd’s trilogy of albums. It includes After Hours, Dawn FM, and Hurry Up Tomorrow, and is in headlines not just for ticket sales but also for its production values. In addition, through his XO Humanitarian Fund and Global Citizen, the singer has pledged over $8.5 million.

Live Nation’s top brass is also calling The Weeknd’s billion‑dollar tour proof that the artist is a global phenomenon. According to Omar Al‑Joulani, their Touring President, “Crossing the billion-dollar mark is a testament to his staying power and the incredible demand for his live show.”

Al‑Joulani continued, “Year after year, he sells out stadiums around the world, and the ‘After Hours Til Dawn Tour now stands as one of the biggest of all time, a true reflection of his artistry and impact.” (via AP news)

The Canadian singer-songwriter is one of the most talked-about artists of all time. He’s received 176 awards and over 500 nominations, from Grammys to Billboard and AMAs. In 2025, he received the award for Favorite Male R&B Artist and Favorite R&B Album at the AMA.

On streaming, Blinding Lights is a juggernaut with 5.1 billion plays. Meanwhile, Starboy and Die For You also crossed the billion‑stream mark. And with his After Hours Til Dawn Tour pulling in over a billion dollars, the Weeknd’s now in the big leagues of live music history.
