Singer and actress Jessica Simpson will “never forget” actor Ashton Kutcher’s brief retort when she revealed her virginity. Jessica worked with Ashton on That’s ‘70s Show back in 2002. Her character, Annette, was Ashton’s Michael Kelso’s love interest in the episode.
On the show, Jessica’s character had almost the same conversation, but Ashton’s response differed. While the show had Michael Kelso saying “What?,” then “A coincidence. Me too,” he asked her “Why?” during the personal conversation.
Ashton Kutcher had a one-word response to Jessica Simpson being a virgin at 22
The fashion designer initially told Ashton she was a virgin when she was 22, according to an interview last weekend with Entertainment Tonight. After he asked why, Jessica responded, “Because I haven’t met my husband yet.” She recalled being “very innocent” at that age, adding, “I [wasn’t] thinking about other people and their sex lives at all. I’ve always been open. Legs crossed, but open.”
While watching the That’s ‘70s Show clip and the old interview last weekend, she laughed. At that time, she explained, “I was just shooting a scene with Ashton — Michael — and I was telling him that we couldn’t do it because I was a virgin.”
The Newlyweds star never shied away from her views on premarital sex. She saved herself for her first husband, Nick Lachey, whom she married in October 2002. In a 2000 interview, she told People magazine, “My virginity is something I stand strong in. It’s not always easy, but I do respect it. Virginity can be cool and sexy.”
Jessica divorced Nick in 2005, marrying ex-NFL football player Eric Johnson in July 2014. The couple reportedly divorced earlier this year. They are currently coparenting their three children— daughters Maxwell, 13, and Birdie, 6, and son Ace, 12.
After a well-publicized relationship with actress Demi Moore, Ashton married his That ‘70’s Show co-star Mila Kunis in July of 2015. The couple have two children — daughter Wyatt Isabelle, 11, and son Dimitri Portwood, 8.
