The finale for Dancing with the Stars Season 34 will be wrapping up soon, but presenter Julianne Hough already has another job lined up around the holiday corner. Joining Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve for the first time, Hough will be adding her flair to the Ryan Seacrest-hosted New Year’s celebrations alongside NFL star Rob Gronkowski in Las Vegas. The 37-year-old entertainer has been spreading her wings as a host for several specials over the last few years, and she’ll be able to put another feather in her cap very soon.
Julianne makes her debut for ABC New Year’s show
Julianne Hough is slated to appear on “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2026” on Wednesday, December 31. It will air live on ABC starting at 8:00 PM EST and be available for streaming the following day on Hulu.
While Hough co-hosts in Las Vegas, Rita Ora will be hosting in Times Square as Grammy-winner Chance the Rapper presents in Chicago. Ryan Seacrest, who has been hosting the event for over two decades, will be the main presenter for the celebration.
It’s expected that the event will feature many musical guests throughout the program. In 2024, Carrie Underwood performed a medley of “Before He Cheats,” “Church Bells,” and “Pink Champagne” as the ball dropped in Times Square. The musical lineup for the upcoming show has not yet been unveiled. Whatever the case may be, Hough could show off her dancing skills to whoever performs on the program.
Apart from being the Dancing With The Stars host alongside Alfonso Ribeiro, the Emmy-winning dancer has been the host for the pre-show Tony Awards: Act One for the last three years. She is also set to be part of the cast for the 2026 American monster film “The Bride!” that stars Christian Bale, Jake Gyllenhaal, and Jessie Buckley.
Hough recently shared her plans to shave her head and opened up about the “darkest time” in her life.
