Elizabeth Hurley and Billy Ray Cyrus’ romance has become one of the most discussed topics in Hollywood lately. However, not everyone expected the strongest show of support to come from Hurley’s son, Damian. After weeks of speculation surrounding his mother’s relationship with the country star, Damian decided to speak out. In doing so, he set things straight.
Damian Hurley calls Billy Ray Cyrus ‘one of the sweetest men’ amid Elizabeth Hurley romance
In a candid post, Elizabeth Hurley‘s son, Damian, shared on Instagram, he dismissed rumors of tension within the blended family, particularly after his mother’s romance with Billy Ray Cyrus. Damian explained that he usually avoids commenting on stories about his family. However, some recent claims were “so startlingly untrue” that he wanted to share the truth himself.
The 23-year-old wrote, “For the record: I adore @billyraycyrus and think he’s one of the sweetest men I’ve ever met. I love seeing my mom so happy,” according to screenshots that The Daily Mail shared.
Damian added that he gets along “beautifully” with Billy Ray’s children — Brandi, Trace, Miley, Braison, Noah, and Christopher — and called any chatter surrounding his family strain “yawn inducing and tediously untrue.” He also reflected on his “very modern family,” which includes his mother’s ex-husband, Arun Nayar, whom he called his “cherished father,” as well as extended family members and step-siblings.
The model-actor ended his message by saying he feels “blessed every day to be surrounded by so much love and support.” Meaner, Billy Ray Cyrus didn’t stay silent either. The singer-songwriter and actor reposted Damian’s Story to his own Instagram Story, writing, “Love you D Man.”
Elizabeth Hurley and Billy Ray first met while filming “Christmas in Paradise” in 2022, and they made their romance public earlier this year. They have attended several events together, including Miley Cyrus’ film premiere in London, where Damian and Miley posed side by side.
Through all the noise, Elizabeth Hurley’s son Damian’s message clarifies that nothing comes before his mother’s happiness.
