You shouldn’t believe anything Hilary Duff’s husband posts on social media. That’s according to the singer and actress herself, who is addressing the speculation that one of her new songs is a shoutout to an Academy Award-winning actor. Hilary’s husband, Matthew Koma, is partly responsible for those rumors. He recently posted a meme of Leonardo DiCaprio holding the artwork to his wife’s new album Luck … or Something.
That got fans and media buzzing about the album and one song in particular.

It seems Hillary’s husband may have pulled the wool over all of our eyes. In a recent interview on the show On Air with Ryan Seacrest, Hilary was asked if her song Mature was about the Titanic actor. “You can’t take anything that Matthew posts seriously. He’s the biggest troll on the planet Earth,” said Hilary.
The Leonardo meme isn’t the only reason people had this theory. The lyrics to Mature include the words very Leo of you with your Scorpion touch. While she’s called out her husband as a jokester, it seems the Lizzie McGuire actress wants to have some fun at the publics expense as well. She added in the interview, “not confirming, not denying anything here,” about that report.
Since becoming a public figure, Hilary has seemingly been more attracted to older men. At the age of 16, she dated a 25-year-old Joel Madden of Good Charlotte. She was 29 when dating celebrity trainer Jason Walsh, who is 13 years her senior. Either of them or both may very well be who she’s talking about in the song.
Hilary and Matthew have been married since December 2019 and have three daughters. She recently opened up about her past family drama and reported feud with her sister and actress Haylie. The music video for Mature came out earlier this month and has over two million views on YouTube.
Her album Luck … or Something comes out in 2026. It is Hilary’s sixth studio album and her first in 10 years.
