Travis Kelce’s Fans React to His Post-Game Gesture With Colts

Travis Kelce’s post-game interaction with several Indianapolis Colts players drew significant attention after Kansas City’s Week 12 win. The Chiefs’ tight end met with former Cincinnati teammates on the field, creating one of the most discussed moments following the matchup. The brief exchange sparked conversation among fans who noted the connection between Kelce and the Colts’ Cincinnati alumni.

Travis Kelce met with fellow Cincinnati alumni after Kansas City’s 23–20 overtime win against Indianapolis in Week 12. Kansas City moved to 6–5, overcoming an 11-point deficit entering the fourth quarter. Kelce finished with four receptions for 43 yards. Harrison Butker forced overtime with a last-second field goal and converted the game-winner on the opening drive of the extra period.

Kelce played at Cincinnati from 2008 to 2012, appearing in 35 games and recording 59 receptions for 875 yards and 10 touchdowns. His college career included a 2010 suspension following a failed drug test. Indianapolis cornerback Sauce Gardner and wide receiver Alec Pierce also played for Cincinnati, contributing to the Bearcats’ 2021 College Football Playoff appearance. Cincinnati fell to Alabama in the Cotton Bowl that season.

After the Chiefs’ win, Kelce met Gardner and Pierce on the field. The group posed for a photo and exchanged brief remarks before leaving for their respective locker rooms. Kansas City later posted the photo on X with the caption, “Cincinnati boys linking up @GoBearcatsFB.” The meeting marked one of the few interactions between the players following regular-season competition in 2025.

Gardner and Pierce entered the league after leading Cincinnati to its first College Football Playoff berth. Gardner became one of the highest-drafted defensive backs in program history, while Pierce contributed as a starter during the Bearcats’ postseason run. Their encounter with Kelce followed a game in which Indianapolis started Daniel Jones and held a late lead before Kansas City’s comeback.

Kansas City will play Dallas next in a Thanksgiving matchup scheduled for 4:30 p.m. ET on CBS. The Chiefs will then host Houston in Week 14 on “Sunday Night Football.” The Colts will continue their AFC schedule after the overtime loss, while Cincinnati’s alumni remain represented across multiple NFL rosters.
