We may see more right-leaning programs on CBS in the future. According to reports, the new editor-in-chief at CBS News, Bari Weiss, is looking to give its audience a brand-new view. She’s apparently aiming to have a more “right-wing” version of programming to contend against the longtime ABC talk show The View.
Since being appointed to her new role in October, she hasn’t hesitated to make some more right-leaning adjustments to the network. While she may see it as a move to boost ratings for the network, some suggest there’s a personal element to it as well.
CBS boss Bari Weiss is reportedly making some right-leaning adjustments

Now that she’s in charge at CBS, Bari could finally get the talk-show program she always wanted. The reported new show will be “sharp, debate-driven alternative,” which she believes the genre is missing. That’s what a CBS insider told Rob Shuster on his Substack Naughty But Nice. “It’s personal,” the source told him.
The reason it’s personal stems from Bari’s time as a guest host on The View. She was reportedly in the mix to become a permanent host earlier this decade. Unfortunately, they passed on her, and that reportedly is something she’s not gotten over.
A new version of The View, though, is apparently in development, featuring diverse voices. It will differ from the long-running ABC program known for its intensity and frequent shouting matches.
This potential new show may just be the beginning of sweeping changes Bari will make to the network. There are rumors that Gayle King’s time as CBS Mornings co-host could end, with Bari reportedly wanting to clean house of ultra liberals and “woke” employees.
Late last month, CBS Evening News co-anchor John Dickerson announced he was leaving the program at the end of the year. Sources claim it wasn’t on his terms. Last month it was esitmated that Bari’s net worth was an estimated $500,000.
