Travis Kelce has fans talking after his behaviour against colts
The Chiefs trailed by 11 early in the fourth quarter and had yet to score a touchdown when Kareem Hunt fumbled inside the red zone at the Colts’ six-yard line. The mistake came at a critical time, with Kansas City attempting to cut into Indianapolis’ lead. As Hunt walked toward the bench in frustration, Travis Kelce intercepted him on the sideline and offered support. Cameras showed the tight end hugging Hunt and speaking to him before he sat down.
The moment gained traction on social media, with fans calling it a display of leadership. One fan wrote on X (formerly known as Twitter), “the moment it turned around.” Another added, “After a Kareem Hunt red-zone fumble in the 4th quarter with KC down 11, Travis Kelce pulled him aside, kept him composed, and told him they would need him. The Chiefs rallied to win & Hunt became their first 100-yard rusher of the season. Cool moment.”
One viewer posted, “Kareem Hunt was down on himself because of the fumble. Travis Kelce, being the leader that he is, went over and picked him up. Kareem made up for the fumble by scoring a touchdown on the following drive, in addition to finishing with 130 yards of total offense.”
That is exactly what happened as the Kansas City Chiefs responded immediately after the fumble. The offense put together an 11-play, 61-yard drive that ended with Hunt scoring a 2-yard touchdown. A late field goal pushed the game into overtime, where Hunt contributed 29 rushing yards to set up Harrison Butker’s 27-yard game-winning field goal. Hunt finished with 104 rushing yards on 30 carries, becoming the team’s first 100-yard rusher of the season.
