Jonathan Bailey Considers This Food Combo a ‘Heinous Crime’

Jonathan Bailey recently got candid about his food preferences, and it seems like he is on the majority side when it comes to pizza toppings. The Bridgerton star, who recently featured in a cooking video with Wicked: For Good co-star Ariana Grande, expressed his dislike for a controversial food combo by calling it ‘a heinous crime’.

Jonathan Bailey isn’t a fan of this topping on pizza

Jonathan Bailey and Ariana Grande had fun making pizza together in a New York Times Cooking video released on Tuesday, November 25, sharing their food preferences and some laughs. The playful cooking segment witnessed Bailey identifying himself as a “dough tosser”. Meanwhile, Grande admitted that although she’s baked a few pizzas with her mother, she’s not a “pizza master”.

The conversation eventually landed on the topic of food combos, especially pizza toppings. Surprisingly, the Jurassic World Rebirth actor had some strong opinions of his own. Sharing his viewpoint on pineapple on pizza, Jonathan expressed how much he detests the controversial combo—calling it “criminal”.

The revelation came when a producer offscreen asked the 7 Rings singer if she thinks that pineapple belongs on pizza. Grande, in her clear-cut answer, said “No.” “I’m not saying that you’re wrong. I’m just saying that I’ve never even let my mind go there,” she explained. “And I know plenty of Italians who like it as well, so I’m not judging, I promise,” she added.

Upon being asked the same question by his co-star, Bailey replied, “It’s a heinous crime. It really is”, as he shook his head. The 37-year-old actor’s undeterred opinion on pineapple on pizza sparked interest among fans. They were surprised by his strong stance on the combo, given that he’s known for his charming on-screen presence.

Fans are obsessed with the duo’s fun, effortless chemistry, filling the comments with love and admiration for Wicked: For Good. “Ari spends 20 seconds trying to explain how she is not judging about pineapple on pizza, then Johnny: “it’s a heinous crime”, one fan wrote. “I love these two, they’re so funny”, another comment read.
