Looks like the Fast Family is back on track, and fans are excited, as the XXX star reportedly reconciled with his former co-actor.
Ending their almost decade-long feud, Vin Diesel recently shared a throwback pic of himself with Dwayne Johnson on set on Instagram. Praising the latter in the caption, the 58-year-old actor expressed how much he brought to the Fast and Furious franchise.
Diesel further shared that Johnson’s work in The Smashing Machine thoroughly impressed him, calling it a masterpiece. “One of the greatest gifts in life isn’t something you can buy, it’s the relationships forged along the way”, a part of his heartwarming post read. He further elaborated on his friendship with Mark Kerr, whom Johnson plays in his latest film.
“And let me celebrate Dwayne. People don’t understand what it takes to uphold a global perception every single day. I remember asking our global family who they’d love to see me work with, and a woman named Jan left a comment saying her dream was for me to collaborate with Dwayne. What followed became one of the most dynamic pairings in cinema, two strong personalities who pushed each other and created something unforgettable. When he stepped into Hobbs, he did it with full commitment and left an indelible mark on Universal’s character hall of fame”, the part appreciating the Black Adam star said.
Diesel concluded, “Mark Kerr is so deserving of this moment… and Dwayne really did it… He brought us back in time and shined doing it. Proud of you both.”
Notably, Dwayne Johnson and Vin Diesel’s feud dates back to 2016. At the time, the Moana actor allegedly called the latter a “chicken shit” co-star on Instagram. (via PEOPLE) Diesel, however, shared in 2021 that it was a case of tough love gone wrong.
The Chronicles of Riddick star revealed that he was only trying to push Johnson for a great performance. Over the years, the two actors have often been in the news for their comments on each other. However, with Diesel’s latest appreciation of Johnson’s work, things seem to be peaceful between them.
