Taylor Swift and her fiancé, Travis Kelce, might not be celebrating Thanksgiving side by side this year. According to sources, the Kansas City Chiefs star has landed in Dallas ahead of a major holiday game against the Cowboys, and the pop singer will not make the trip. While the couple will not spend the day together, both seem to be making the most of their busy schedules.
Taylor Swift and fiancé Travis Kelce may not spend Thanksgiving holiday together — report
The Daily Mail reported that Taylor Swift and her fiancé, Travis Kelce, may have different plans this holiday season. Kelce touched down in Texas on Wednesday evening with his teammates, and with a brown Louis Vuitton holdall in hand, he looked focused as the team prepared for Thursday’s big matchup. This will be Kelce’s first time playing on Thanksgiving in his 13-year NFL career, and his commitment to the game means he will likely spend the holiday away from his fiancée.
However, Swift recently joined him for dinner earlier in the week in Kansas City. The couple dined at Kelce’s new restaurant, 1587 Prime Steakhouse, with his uncle Don and several family friends. Swift’s father, Scott, was also present, and the group posed for a cheerful photo that later made it to social media. The dinner marked one of the last moments they were together before Kelce traveled to Texas.
Last year, the pair reportedly celebrated Thanksgiving at Swift’s Nashville home with both their families. However, it is a different story this season. The Daily Mail suggested that Swift is not expected at the Cowboys game, because she has not attended any of his team’s road games since their playoff win against the Baltimore Ravens in January 2024.
Kelce told The Daily Mail, “I like playing on holidays, man. It’s fun,” suggesting his focus remains on football. He added. “I know everybody’s sitting down getting, getting all the food they can they can possibly get, and enjoying the family time. There’s nothing that goes better than football and Thanksgiving, baby.”
