The Kansas City Chiefs and Dallas Cowboys are both prominent teams, whose match-up on Thanksgiving could bring a significant amount of viewership. Therefore, many predict that it could be an exciting match-up, which could possibly make history by being the most-watched in the regular season.

CBS lead NFL play-by-play announcer Jim Nantz told The Athletic what this famous matchup on the Thanksgiving occasion could mean. He said, “It’s the perfect confluence of three of the biggest brands in American culture — the Cowboys, the Chiefs and Thanksgiving.”

For Kelce, this will be the first time he’ll play on a Thanksgiving occasion in his 13-year career. Sharing his excitement about the upcoming game via KSHB 41, he said, “I’m pumped.” It’s my first time ever playing on Thanksgiving.” He believes that the game is equally important for Mahomes, given it’s his first NFL game in his home state, Texas.

He added, “We’ve got to win for him. You can’t go back home with any Ls, man.” Kelce also revealed that he loves playing on holidays. “It’s fun. I know everybody’s sitting down, eating all the food they can possibly get and enjoying the family time,” he explained. However, he thinks there’s no better combination than Thanksgiving and football (via The US Sun).

Before the upcoming game, the Chiefs went against the Indianapolis Colts, where they emerged victorious, scoring 23-20. It was a much-needed win for them, further improving their season scores to 6-5.
