Taylor Swift Allegedly Witnessed Ryan Reynolds Confront Justin Baldoni — Report

Ryan Reynolds and Justin Baldoni‘s confrontation reportedly unfolded with Taylor Swift present, per a newly unsealed exhibit. The pop star, the “Deadpool” actor, and the “It Ends With Us” filmmaker and lead were all named in a timeline email entered into the case, according to reporting.

The April 2023 meeting allegedly took place at Reynolds and Blake Lively’s New York City penthouse. Moreover, the confrontation centered on concerns about questions regarding a woman’s weight. The account places Swift as a witness, not a participant.

Taylor Swift was ‘present’ when Ryan Reynolds confronted Justin Baldoni, per report

According to People, the Wayfarer Studios email timeline claims Reynolds “unloaded” on Baldoni about “how horrible it was” that he would ask about a woman’s weight. The email asserts the couple alleged Baldoni “was fat shaming Blake,” and that he was “completely embarrassed and apologized and even shared some tears.” The document also lists Hugh Jackman as “present” at the apartment during the meeting.

Baldoni’s complaint further alleges Reynolds said, “How dare you f—ing ask about my wife’s weight? What’s wrong with you?” His lawyers wrote that the confrontation was so intense he offered “repeated” apologies. However, Reynolds’ stance was later characterized by Baldoni’s attorney Bryan Freedman as “angry,” “stern” and “impassioned,” while adding Reynolds did not “aggressively berate” him.

Swift’s team distanced her from the film during earlier filings. Her representative stated, “Taylor Swift never set foot on the set of this movie.” Adding further, she “was not involved in any casting or creative decisions.” The rep said her sole connection was permitting one song, noting, “The connection Taylor had to this film was permitting the use of one song, ‘My Tears Ricochet.’” The Grammy winner’s rep also added the reason for dragging their client’s name, stating, “to draw public interest by creating tabloid clickbait instead of focusing on the facts of the case.”

Meanwhile, the broader dispute continues. Lively’s lawsuit against Baldoni and others is scheduled for trial in March 2026. A judge later dismissed Baldoni’s countersuit. Swift and Jackman remain on a potential witness list, per prior filings. Consequently, the confrontation may resurface in court testimony. Nevertheless, the timeline still frames Swift as an observer rather than a decision maker.
