Britney Spears has opened up to her fans again, sharing emotional thoughts about pain, healing, and personal growth on Instagram. After a short break from social media earlier this month, the pop icon has reactivated her Instagram account and posted a heartfelt message about finding light through dark times. In that, she reminded fans that even in sadness, there can be strength and understanding.
Britney Spears returns to Instagram to talk about ‘darkness’
PEOPLE reported that, in her November 29 Instagram post, Britney Spears reflected on how challenges can lead to growth. Spears wrote, “Sometimes when hard things happen, good things come from it and we learn,” pairing the caption with a clip of herself dancing to Adele’s “Send My Love (To Your New Lover).”
Throughout her message, Spears talked about the importance of holding onto one’s inner child. Moreover, she encouraged her followers to stay in touch with their most sensitive and true selves while speaking openly about deeper emotions of grief and loss.
Spears shared, “Sadness and darkness survive to make an understanding of losing someone and of the hurt and pain.” She added, “Sometimes through suffering and ugliness and sacrifice, extremely rare and beautiful things can be manifested and shared that can touch another person so they understand they are not alone.” The headstrong pop star reassured, “and yet the woman in me will make sure I find my destination.”
Britney Spears ended the Instagram post on a lighter note, joking about indulging over Thanksgiving. “PS I can’t even look at food after this Thanksgiving… I cheated I was so bad… but it felt so damn good… forgive me father.”
Later, Spears edited the lengthy caption, cutting it short to, “I felt pretty in that bathing suit,” and added, “psss gotta find those Mary Jane shoes.”
Britney Spears’ new post marks her return after deactivating her Instagram account earlier this month during a public dispute involving her ex-husband, Kevin Federline, and his upcoming memoir. While her post touched on pain, it also showed her resilience.
