Kim Kardashian Learns About ‘Low Brain Activity’ After Scan

Kim Kardashian, along with Scott Disick, went to get her brain checked after discovering a “little aneurysm” in the premiere episode of The Kardashians Season 7. They visited Dr. Daniel Amen, who examined Kardashian’s brain health and revealed that her scan showed holes in her brain. According to the doctor, this diagnosis indicates she has low brain activity.

The Kardashians, Season 7 Episode 6, titled “If It Doesn’t Fit, We Must Acquit,” featured Disick and Kardashian headed to the doctor to get their brains scanned. She said, “Scott and I are both going to look at our brains today with Dr. Daniel Amen. He does these brain scans to see how your brain health is really looking.”

Ahead of the brain scan, Disick and Kardashian discussed how the latter effectively manages stressful situations, further wondering if a brain scan could catch that. Following the scan, Kardashian and Amen discussed the results, with the latter complimenting her brain, describing it as “beautiful.” In a confessional clip, the ‘SKIMS’ founder mentioned that she had heard it before that her brain is beautiful.

Amen reassured her that she has nothing to worry about with her brain, given she isn’t at a high risk of Alzheimer’s. Moreover, her brain is not “terribly stressed, not anxious and not depressed.” He further appreciated her for her extraordinary optimism. Amen further explained that the scan does show holes in her brain, which signals “low brain activity.”

Explaining the reasons for this diagnosis, he said, “The front part of your brain is less active than it should be. With your frontal lobes, as they work now, it would be harder to manage stress and that’s not good for you, especially as you’re studying and you’re getting ready to take the boards.” The doctor suggested that she take steps to manage her stress more effectively. Kardashian initially struggled to accept the diagnosis but ultimately chose to focus on improving her stress management, especially with so much on her plate in the coming summer.
