Scarlett Johansson’s thoughts about Woody Allen remain unchanged. The Annie Hall director has been at the centre of controversy for over a decade. Woody’s adopted daughter, Dylan Farrow, penned an open letter in 2014 alleging the Academy Award winner molested her during his time with Mia Farrow, Dylan’s mother. Woody has denied the allegations.
Scarlett is one of the few people publicly saying she would work with Woody again. She says her mother always taught her to be yourself and “stand up for what you believe in” no matter what.
Woody and Scarlett worked on three movies together in between 2005 and 2008: Match Point, Scoop and Vicky Cristina Barcelona.
Scarlett Johansson said after supporting Woody Allen: “It’s important to have integrity”

Woody doesn’t seem to have a lot of friends in the Hollywood scene these days. The alleged molestation allegations against him have led to Alan Alda, Anjelica Huston and Javier Bardem to all declaring they’d never work with him again.
For Scarlett, however, it’s important to stay firm with what you believe and not have a knee-jerk reaction to the outside noise. In an interview with The Telegraph, she says that “it’s important to have integrity.” She claims that she and Woody have always been direct with one another. “He maintains his innocence, and I believe him,” says Scarlett.
In February 2021, Woody and his current wife, Soon-Yi Previn, slammed the documentary Allen v. Farrow, which entails the sexual abuse allegations against the director. Woody has previously said how surprised he is that many people are so willing to believe reports about his alleged crimes.
Scarlett was nominated for a Golden Globe for her work in Woody’s movie Match Point. Woody’s won four Oscars but hasn’t directed any film since 2023’s Coup de chance. His net worth this year is an estimated $145 million. Scarlett made her directorial debut in Eleanor the Great earlier this year.
