Fans react to Daniel Radcliffe and Tom Felton’s reunion

Harry Potter stars Daniel Radcliffe and Tom Felton had an easy and supportive rapport upon meeting. It showed right away as videos of them hugging and chatting have been circulating on social media. This was before the house lights were dimmed at the Hudson Theatre.

The actors have been photographed for the first time together since the 2011 Deathly Hallows: Part 2 premiere. Thus, it has become a nostalgic moment for longtime Harry Potter fans.

As for Tom Felton, he has made his Broadway debut in The Cursed Child. While talking about his Harry Potter co-star Daniel Radcliffe, Felton said that he was an inspiration to try theatre himself. The actor said, “I’ve taken a few tips from Potter. He was one of the early inspirations for me to come to Broadway.” (via Good Morning America)

Later, when Radcliffe heard of the compliment, he replied modestly and said, “It’s crazy. Tom’s older than me; he was always the cool kid growing up. It’s crazy that he would think of me as an inspiration for anything. That’s so sweet.” He also said he’s “super excited” to see Felton on stage now that the actor is performing in the city.

The reunion between the two stars came as Radcliffe is promoting the filmed version of Merrily We Roll Along. It opens in the theatres on December 5, 2025. He reflected on watching the filmed production and admitted having mixed feelings about it. Nevertheless, Radcliffe was appreciative of his co-star’s work.
