Maya Jama opts for bold slinky gown for Fashion Awards 2025

Maya Jama made sure to make a fashion statement in her bold, slinky gown when she recently appeared at the Fashion Awards 2025 in London. Her midnight-blue crystal-encrusted floor-length gown featured thick spaghetti straps and a deep, daring neckline, making her stand out in the crowd.

The “Love Island” host looked phenomenal in the dress, which she accessorized with just dangling earrings. She skipped other accessories to let her shimmery piece do all the talking.

The 31-year-old radio DJ even kept her makeup simple by only highlighting her eyes with eyeliner. She also opted for a nude lip shade to complement her look, ensuring her gown remained the main focus. Jama let her hair loose for the event, which further accentuated her overall look.

She was not the only celebrity at the star-studded event. Cat Burns, Lily Allen, Anna Wintour, Ellie Goulding, and Sienna Miller were also present at the event. The event is held every year to raise funds for the British Fashion Council Foundation.

It was presented by the actor Colman Domingo. He was the perfect host for the evening as he “has had a standout year in film, television, and theatre.” “He’s a fashion icon whose red carpet style has set a fresh agenda for men’s fashion,” said British Fashion Council CEO Laura Weir, per Attitude. Moreover, “he brings the presence, spark and originality that makes him such a compelling figure on and off screen.”

According to the BBC, Jonathan Anderson, creative director of Dior, was named designer of the year for the third consecutive year. Grace Wales Bonner won the British menswear designer of the year award. On the other hand, Givenchy’s creative director, Sarah Burton, won the British womenswear designer award. Finally, Sudanese-American supermodel Anok Yai won model of the year.
