The Kansas City Chiefs president Mark Donovan has shared his thoughts on Travis Kelce and his fiancée Taylor Swift‘s relationship. He also spoke about the impact Swift had on the franchise when the couple went public with their relationship. Donovan shared that while a lot of the progress was already in place, their relationship had a big impact on the brand.

During an interview with Kay Adams on her FanDuel TV show called the Up & Adams Show, Kansas City Chiefs boss Mark Donovan spoke about Kelce and Swift’s relationship.
“It’s had a big impact on us,” Donovan shared. “I often say that a lot of this was in place before the relationship. Like a lot of the growth, a lot of things that happened, a lot of the success we’ve had was prior to that,” he added.
Further, continuing to address Taylor’s global impact on the franchise, he said, “I say that everything Taylor’s brought to us has been good and postive, and it has; it’s accelerated this stuff. I think the timing of it made a big impact.”
Donovan continued, “If you think about when everything started taking off publicly, about their relationship, she was in the heat of her new Eras tour, and really when it started taking off she was on her international leg, and we were playing in Frankfurt Germany. So all these things lined up, right?”
Adams then went on to call him “the wizard that’s putting it all together,” to which he responded saying, “Yeah, there are a lot of wizards in the building.” Donovan then shared that his favorite Taylor Swift song is “Lavender Haze” from her 2022 album Midnights, though he mistakenly called it “Purple Haze.”
