A$AP Rocky, aka Rakim Athelston Mayers, recently opened up about what it meant to him to get “spousal support” from his partner and baby mama, Rihanna. While on the red carpet for the 35th Gotham Film Awards, the musician talked to PEOPLE. During the interview, the artist expressed how grateful he was to have the Fenty Beauty founder right by his side at the event, saying, “It means everything.”
The father of three then said, “Family support is just … spousal support, everything.” After that, the rapper affirmed what Rihanna’s support meant to him: “It just means a lot.” He also added, “It goes a long way.” At this year’s Gotham Film Awards, Rocky was nominated for his role in the crime-thriller movie, “Highest 2 Lowest.”
For his appearance at the event, Rocky opted for a dapper, clean-cut black suit from Chanel. He sported a sharp white dress shirt underneath the long black blazer and styled the look with a pair of black leather boots. On the other hand, Rihanna chose a captivating gown in lilac from Balenciaga by designer Perpaolo Piccioli. The ensemble featured an off-the-shoulder neckline and a dramatic drop waist. The singer styled the gown with black leather gloves and a matching lilac feathery headpiece. The couple appeared to be in great spirits while posing for photos together.
