Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster did not have to say much at all during their latest night out in New York City, because their chemistry was enough. The pair showed up together at the 35th Annual Gotham Film Awards on December 1, and according to a source who watched them throughout the evening, their body language gave away exactly where things stand. In that, they looked more like a couple who have settled into their relationship and are not trying to hide how they feel.

Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster have been in each other’s lives for a long time, but they hit it off while working side‑by‑side in the 2022 Broadway revival of “The Music Man.” The friendship evolved into something deeper, and they eventually went public with their relationship in January. Since then, they have appeared together several times, including their red carpet debut in October at the premiere of Jackman’s film “Song Sung Blue.”

At the Gotham Awards, Jackman and Foster looked relaxed and very comfortable with each other. Jackman received the musical tribute honor that night while Foster stayed close to him from the moment they arrived. In a video from inside the venue, the two are talking, laughing, and keeping steady physical contact. A source told Star Magazine, “They looked madly in love,” adding that they “couldn’t keep their eyes off each other and didn’t leave each other’s side the whole night.”

Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster had their own personal changes before they officially became a couple. Jackman announced his split from Deborra‑Lee Furness in 2023, and the divorce was finalized in June 2025, while Foster filed for divorce from Ted Griffin in late 2024. Later, an insider explained, “It was all about timing and respecting their exes, but they felt they’d waited long enough.”

The couple’s appearance did not feel like a staged moment or something crafted for headlines at the event. Instead, they looked like two people moving forward together.
