Travis Kelce stars in the Kansas City Chiefs’ new holiday claymation short Merry Mischief. The team released the video as part of its annual Kingdom Christmas celebration. The video features a claymation version of Kelce, transformed into an elf named “Kelce on the Shelfie.” The elf causes hijinks at Arrowhead Stadium while the rest of the team is away for a game.
Patrick Mahomes, Trent McDuffie, Chris Jones, George Karlaftis, and Xavier Worthy also appear in claymation form. The story is narrated by Travis Kelce’s mother, Donna Kelce. She opens the tale saying, “‘Twas the month before Christmas, almost the Thanksgiving game. When the Chiefs found an elf, one that needed a name.”
In the short, the elf wears Kelce’s No. 87 jersey and names himself “Kelce on a Shelfie.” He quickly becomes part of the team. Donna Kelce narrates, “It was match made in heaven, almost like a dream! The team up and left for they had a game to play, but the elf had big plans while they were away.”
The full short will premiere on December 24, 2024. It sets the stage for the Chiefs’ Christmas Day game against the Denver Broncos. This marks their third consecutive appearance on Christmas Day. On December 25, 2024, Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes played a regular season game against the Pittsburgh Steelers at Acrisure Stadium.
