Jason Kelce’s Bedtime Story Left Wife Kylie ‘Furious’

Jason Kelce’s bedtime story left his daughter “terrified” and his wife “furious.” Recently, he and his brother, Travis Kelce, recorded another episode of their podcast, “New Heights.” During their conversation, the retired NFL player revealed how his bedtime storytelling skills might not be very suitable for kids. One time, he made up a tale involving his baby girl, Elliotte Ray’s plushie, Slothy. According to him, it didn’t end well, leaving the little one totally scared.

Jason Kelce’s bedtime story technique has left his four-year-old daughter, Elliotte, scared. On December 3, an episode of the “New Heights” podcast was released. In it, the 38-year-old told his younger brother, Travis Kelce, about a time when his storytelling didn’t go as expected. He said that his kids often ask him to include their “stuffed animals” in their bedtime stories.

The father of four agreed to one of his daughters’ requests. The day he was going to narrate “Pinocchio,” his baby girl, Elliotte, asked him to “put Slothy in the story.” He begins the tale, saying, “One night, Ellie wished upon a star, and Slothy came to life.” With this, Jason claimed that the toddler’s eyes went wide and she “didn’t move.” “She was just holding the stuffed animal,” he added.

Jason admitted that the slight change in the story seemed to be a bad idea. “The only thing after the story, Ellie was just so terrified that she was holding [the plushie],” he said. Meanwhile, Travis couldn’t hold back his laughter and quipped, “This is so good.”

While the former Philadelphia Eagles player’s daughter was scared, his wife, Kylie, was “furious.” Furthermore, he told his sibling that he is a “big fan of telling stories.” In addition, he likes to sing to his kids at bedtime as well.

For those unversed, Jason and Kylie have four daughters — Wyatt Elizabeth (6), Elliotte (4), Bennett Llewellyn (2), and Finnley “Finn” Anne (8 months).
